The Financial Services Conduct Authority (FSCA) has instructed the Financial Planning Institute (FPI) to discontinue the delivery of the Regulatory Examination (RE) with immediate effect. All current and future exams will now be delivered by exam body Moonstone until further notice.

The following presses release was distributed: FSCA halts Regulatory Examinations administered by the FPI

Nobody who has written the exam in the past will be affected by this development, except for those who are implicated in the alleged irregularities. There will be no disruptions to the dates or the venues of the examinations for those candidates who had already registered through the FPi. Moonstone will communicate directly with all candidates regarding any details pertaining to the RE exam.

Candidates for future exams can visit the Moonstone regulatory exam website for all the information on how to register and how to prepare for the exams.

Members are welcome to contact Joe Kotzé at joe@fia.org.za or 087 945 5381 in case of uncertainty about the exams.
