FSP’s and particularly SMME’s are finding it increasingly difficult to keep up with the ever changing FAIS compliance regulations. The recent FSCA Board Notice 194 OF 2017 and FAIS Notice 86 of 2018 outlined the new Fit and Proper requirements relating to Class of Business Training, CPD hours, Product Training and Qualification requirements. These requirements are based largely on representative license categories and date of first appointment (DOFA) dates for each FAIS representative in the practice. The new Competency Register, Planning and Control Requirements are complicated and time consuming and include a number of technical management challenges for most FSP’s. The Skye system seeks to simplify all this by building all the Fit and Proper rules and regulations, recognised qualifications, training providers, license categories and DOFA dates into the back-end of the IT system. The Management Reports produced are easy to use and talk to the needs of both small and larger brokerages in the Insurance Sector. We believe that the use of technology can and will improve the management of legislative challenges in the industry and the data used to generate reports for the company’s annual Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Reports for INSETA.
The FIA has negotiated FREE use of the Competence Register which will be funded by INSETA.
Users will also have the option to access the full Client Relationship and Document management, Compliance, HR and Practice Management modules at their own additional cost. For more information and a quote please contact Rob Lansdell at fia@skyetek.co.za or view www.skyetek.co.za.
We have included a few screenshots of the Skye Competency Module as well as a brochure listing the features and modules available for the full system.
