Leading non-life insurer and financial services company, MiWay Insurance, is kickstarting the year by growing its management committee (Manco) leadership. MiWay has announced that Samantha Govender, Head of Operations: Sales, has been promoted to the Manco.
With 15 years’ experience in the insurance sector, her journey began at Sanlam Employee Benefits as a Training facilitator. Samantha has worked for MiWay for 10 years. Since joining MiWay in 2013, she has occupied several positions including Soft Skills Trainer, Skills Development Manager and Sales Training Manager, before taking up the role as Head of Operations (Sales) in 2017.
Prior to her MiWay journey, Samantha occupied senior roles including those of Regional Financial Controller for Interpark in Durban and Financial manager at Pristine Mineral water. She holds a Higher Diploma in Education majoring in commerce, as well as management development qualifications from UNISA and GIBS.
