Biography

I am the Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Intermediaries Association of Southern Africa – a non-profit organisation responsible for the lobbying and advocacy of the intermediary business (these include brokers, financial advisers and discretionary investment managers) with regulators, government and industry stakeholders. I am a Board and Council member of the Financial Sector Transformation Council (FSTC), a representative on the Business for South Africa (BUSA) Social, Economic and Trade Policy committees and an Executive Council member of the World Federation of Insurance Intermediaries. I joined the insurance industry in 1996 and for most of my career, I have worked with brokers in the non-life industry. I have always had a passion for people and business and this is reflected in both my business and personal life. I challenge the status quo and believe that learning happens every day through engaging with and listening to a variety of voices. I live by a no limits philosophy and believe that success is the reward for those who are committed to working smart and making a difference. Core Qualifications: Completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Practice / a Higher Certificate in Insurance / various diplomas in Sales and Financial Management. Completed a 12-month senior executive coaching programme. Also currently completing the Directorship programme by the Institute of Directors SA.
