The annual FIA awards took place at the Sandton Convention Centre on Thursday, 28 June 2018.The night was abuzz with over 900 guests all in attendance to honour key industry players, intermediaries and exceptional brands in the financial services sector. The theme of the evening was #FIAsenses playing on the idea of the five senses. The FIA would like to send a big thank you to our 2018 sponsors of the event who ensured that guests were entertained and also gave away some amazing prizes.
Hollard Insure provided guests with the opportunity to immortalise the night with custom photographs. With purple props, the guests were able to go all out crazy as they took their turn in the photo booths. At the FIA Awards, Hollard operated a pair of popular photo booths where attendees could have their picture taken, and then receive a strip of photographs emblazoned with the company’s #LongLiveTheBroker hashtag.

Speaking after accepting the FIA Award for Short Term Insurer of the Year: Corporate, Nash Omar, managing director: broker markets for Hollard Insure, said that after a tough year, winning the award was “an incredible achievement”.
Hollard’s success in this category rested on three pillars, he said: Hollard’s decentralised, “local is lekker” company structure, which means that it is where policyholders are; the company’s open-door policy, which makes it “totally accessible” to its broker partners; and its “wonderful people”.
Hollard Insure CEO Willie Lategan also lauded the team at Hollard Insure for the role they played in garnering the award.
“Ultimately, insurance is all about people and relationships. No matter how good our insurance products are – and they are excellent – what really counts is the smart, efficient, friendly service that brokers can expect every time they speak to a Hollardite,” he said.
