The FIA KZN branch recently hosted a “Member Exclusive” event on 3 August 2018, at the Durban Country Club.
Our Members Exclusive event, was all about empowering intermediaries. It was great to have so many of our industry colleagues in attendance, on a Friday afternoon – a clear indication of their dedication and commitment to their profession.
FIA KZN Branch chair, Gay-Lynn Rheeders welcomed everyone to the event and highlighted our intention for members to have an empowering experience, not only relating to presentation content, but also through engaging with the presenters and networking after the meeting.
Thank you to our CEO, Lizelle Van Der Merwe and our guest presenter, Peter Atkinson (FIA National Technical Portfolio Manager), who gave us insight into what’s going on at the coal face and the work that our organisation is doing for members.
Regional representatives, Wayne D Axford, Debbie Smythe and Greg Setzkorn also shared feedback on various topics that are essential for our members to be aware of. Our Regional Manager, Julian Earl Tharmihaar focused on various significant aspects of importance to our ongoing organisational growth and development. We had a session jam packed with information, thanks to great contributions from everybody involved.
Watch this space for future events focused on empowering intermediaries!
“Our Members Exclusive event is one small part of the benefits involved in being a member of an organisation such as the FIA focused on #EmpoweringIntermediaries,” says Gay-Lynn. “Sharing valuable information with members contributes to non-stop learning and CPD hours.”
After the insightful presentations, member took the opportunity to mingle and network. The venue was abuzz with conversation as new acquaintances were made and old ones rekindled. There’s always lots to talk about in our working world!
The event was attended by members from all three KZN branches – thanks t all those that made the day a success.
We also had the privilege to have a number of sponsors supporting our the event. Thank you to, Old Mutual Insure, Integrity Software, Auto&General and Insuregroup for participating in the event
