The FIA Jacaranda Branch hosted a “Potjie Kos Day” event which was held on 18 July 2018, at at Rietvlei Dam Nature Reserve LAPA.
It was a fun-filled day comprised of music, dance and mouth watering food.
The branch was happy to host partners, Tracker, Santam, Hollard & Netstar (Sharing), King Price, Old Mutual Insure, PG Glass and Glasfit / Multirisk Insurance Brokers (Sharing) who all took part in the potjie competition to show off their cooking skills.
It was an honour to have, Mr Peter Sutton (DA Councillor for Centurion and Chairperson of the Finance Committee of the Tshwane DA Caucus), Mr Mark Witte (a Cordon Bleu Chef, manager of Matalatala Lodge, Kameelfontein, Pretoria), Mr Howard Eldridge (Co-owner with his wife of Caramello’s restaurant, Blue Hills S/ Centre, Midrand) as special guest judges on the day.
“A great time was had by all – partners/brokers and staff – who attended. There was a very positive and friendly spirited vibe amongst everyone. Spirits were high from early on when the companies and people arrived. The dancing and music also contributed to a fantastic ambience for the day,” says Tom Nel of the Jacaranda branch

Best Spirit: Glasfit / Multirisk
Best Potjie: King Price (Second year in a row)
Overall Winner: Santam
