The below was emailed to the delegates who have already registered for the upcoming #AIE2019, taking pace from 14-17 July at Sun City.

If you haven’t registered yet, read below to see how you can do it.

We at the FIA look forward to attending the #AIE2019 for the speakers and engaging with our members and partners alike.

See you there.

With just over a week to go until the 2019 African Insurance Exchange at Sun City, we have seen a massive spurt in registrations. Members of the insurance industry are certainly gearing up for what promises to be the best conference ever. Please remember to pay for your booking.

With so little time to go, we will be closing off bookings on Monday 08th July 2019  at 12pm, after this time we will put you on a waiting list. This means no more new reservations or changes to existing reservations after that time. That will give us just over a week to sort out the final touches and double-check that everyone’s conference is a smooth and happy experience.

Here’s that booking link.

Night and day

This year’s AIE is set to keep you busy from the time you wake up until you go to bed at night…

NIGHT

Look forward to some amazing evening functions at this year’s AIE.

Sunday’s “Welcome and Wonder” event, sponsored by AIG and Marsh, will be a chilled affair with drinks and finger food on offer. Be in the exhibition area (Warrior Hall) from 6pm. Wear something smart-casual.

On Monday we celebrate the AIE Awards, gala dinner style, sponsored by Munich Re. Dress code is formal with an optional touch of shweshwe (a traditional South African print fabric – see examples below). The event takes place in the Superbowl from 7pm to 11pm.

There are no table allocations for this year’s gala dinner. Guests are invited to sit anywhere and mingle with as many people as possible – there will be enough sitting for everyone.

Tuesday evening’s send-off extravaganza will blow your mind! Be prepared for some incredible entertainment, including South African superband Mi Casa – plus a few other surprises. The bash runs from 7pm to 11pm in the Green House. Wear something smart-casual… and don’t forget your dancing shoes.

DAY

Sunday’s golf is fully booked at Gary Player Country Club. Tee-off times are either in your inbox or on their way to you. Conference registration for golfers starts at Gary Player CC at 7.30am.

We do have a waiting list for the golf. If you’d like your name to be added, fill in the booking form and we’ll let you know in good time if a spot opens up.

Remember there are several other activities, sponsored by Discovery, taking place on Sunday with vitality points allocated. To book your spot on the fun run, putting, volleyball or rowing events, follow this link.

Conference registration for non-golfers will run from 12pm to 7pm on Sunday and from 7am to 11am on Monday. The desk will be in the main entrance hall of the Convention Centre.

Monday and Tuesday start at 7am with a morning run (or walk, if you’d prefer) from the main entrance to the Cascades. Ronald Gall, Motseki Majake, Blake Dyason and Carla Jordaan will be your hosts on both days.

You can catch all the conference activities on the “AIE conference 2019” app, sponsored by Netstar, which is available in your app store.
