Why do you believe the conference is important for the insurance industry?
The annual conference is an important milestone for the industry. It creates an opportunity for colleagues to engage about the future of the sector, get insights on new developments. But, more importantly, it creates opportunities for continuous development.
What benefit do you gain from sponsorship?
Besides contributing towards a good cause for the industry, we get brand promotion and awareness. The business is excited to be part of this initiative. We look forward for more opportunities to sponsor and influence young professionals within the insurance industry to help propel their careers.

How long have you been sponsoring the annual insurance conference?
We’ve been proud sponsors for over 10 years, and in this decade we’ve seen our industry peers grow from strength to strength. On that note, we’re especially glad to see our friends in the industry at this conference now that we’ll be meeting in person – we’ve been able to maintain our relationships with everyone online but it’s so much better to be able to grow these connections in real life!
What is your involvement this year?
We are Platinum Sponsors at the AIE Conference and will be sponsoring the registration process. The fact that we’re up front at this year’s conference is especially relevant to us at Netstar as we’re looking forward to welcoming delegates and all participants. Why do you believe the conference is important for the insurance industry?
I’m sure I speak for all of us when I say that we have been through challenging times as individuals and organisations over the past two years. The conference theme ‘Resurgence. Resilience. Revival’ speaks volumes about what needs to be done to move forward. Conferences such as the AIE are a great platform for information sharing, ideation and networking so that collectively we succeed.
What benefit do you gain from sponsorship?
Honestly, there is so much to gain from rolling up our sleeves and getting involved with this. Aside from learning from such high-calibre speakers at the AIE, sponsoring an event like this shows our intent: that we are committed to this industry and giving back to our community is a win for everyone. Ultimately, we’re focused on mitigating risk and this makes us no different from our partners in the insurance industry and their clients for that matter. The 2022 conference is the first since the start of Covid. It is a great opportunity to bring the industry together and for us to regroup and reflect on the learnings from the pandemic. It also gives us the chance to learn how to operate in the new normal and to take advantage of the opportunities that emerged in the aftermath of the crisis. The conference is also a great opportunity to network and keep abreast of trends and industry developments.
